Assembly Technician

Assembly Technician | Full Time | Fort Wayne, Indiana

Perform the assemblies and sub-assemblies of complex and simple electromechanical and electronics products including wiring, soldering and coil winding.

Performs various marking and stamping operations to piece parts and product assemblies as required.

Receive purchases or work in-process materials. Receive, identify and stock all parts in designated areas as required. Package parts per shipping instructions using all available equipment required to complete these tasks.

Perform intermediate and final assembly operations on all product assemblies including the integration of major sub-assembles (component) into basic package type product assemblies.

Maintain and dispense a variety of tooling and supply items from the tool crib.

Director of Engineering and Quality

Lead the engineering team in the design, development and manufacture of mechanical, electronic and electro-mechanical devices for the aerospace and defense markets. Lead Bowmar’s Quality Management System to ensure products are produced with the highest quality, lowest cost in the shortest lead time. Participate as a member of the Bowmar leadership team bringing the vision of long-term sustainability to life. Be an active partner in Bowmar’s growth. Provide guidance and input on emerging technologies in engineering and aerospace feeding Bowmar’s strategic plan. Coach, mentor and implement the tools of the Toyota Production system as a basis for achieving the Bowmar Vision.
