Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Control
- Oversee daily operations of the finance and accounting functions, IT and Human Resources
- Participate and support pricing strategies. Provide cost estimates for new and existing products. Perform cost accounting duties ensuring accurate cost accounting related valuations, primarily inventory. Develop and maintain documentation for labor and overhead rates. Prepare monthly analysis of variance with root cause and counter measure recommendations.
- Reconcile financial ledgers and records; prepare financial statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles. Ensure the accuracy and completeness of all general and subsidiary ledgers and supporting schedules; research and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Provide financial reports covering sales, earnings, profits, cash balances, and other financial metrics to the organization and its constituents to enhance the decision making ability of Bowmar.
- Ensure that a proper internal control structure exists for the organization. Implement and monitor transactions on a regular basis to ensure the accuracy and completeness of all financial accounts and records.
- Monitor and review the financial performance of the organization identifying variation to expected results using visual controls; work with the team to initiate corrective actions using the 5-why process; eliminate the root cause of variances.
- Establish, monitor and maintain the fiduciary, record keeping and accounting responsibility for all assets of Bowmar including cash, fixed assets, inventory, and accounts receivable. Ensure all records for Bowmar are accurate and complete.
- Coordinate and support the year-end audit; compile and prepare supporting schedules, work papers, and financial
- reports as requested by auditors.
Finance
- Provide guidance and coaching to management staff on financial impact of opportunities and risks within Bowmar; perform special department projects as assigned.
- Develop and maintain positive banking and insurance relationships, expand as needed.
- Participate, lead and coach in the development of a Lean Culture at Bowmar. Pursue the elimination of waste. Adopt a Continuous Improvement Philosophy for yourself, your team and Bowmar.
- Perform related duties as required.
- Develop and maintain an IT strategy which supports the needs of the business and its customers.
- Provide financial expertise and guidance for long range strategic planning.
- Lead the annual financial planning process; review and validate the annual Bowmar budget; provide analysis of the budget to facilitate review and approval by the Board of Managers.
- Contribute to the development and execution of the organizational vision by providing accurate and detailed financial analysis and accounting impact. Establish functional objectives that align with the organizational vision.

Skills & Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication

- ERP software experience; Made 2 Manage a plus
- Working knowledge of wage & benefit laws including payroll, FMLA, etc.
- Experience with ADP Payroll & HR software a plus
- Excellent Excel experience
- Must exhibit a positive and professional attitude and appearance
Education/Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance
- 10 years related experience
- Financial modeling and forecasting
Personnel Supervision
- This position is responsible for overseeing the Accounting, IT and Human Resources departments.
